Once the nachos with beef fajitas arrived, my pupils began to dilate. The nachos were classics, fitted with beans and two kinds of melted cheese, nubs of yummy grilled beef in a restrained marinade and a flurry of pickled jalapeño wheels and sour cream. They disappeared in record time.
At each location I visited, I was basically pleased with my food, whatever quibbles I had. The chips, salsas and beef fajitas were invariably first-rate. The spinach enchiladas at Katy Mills were a goopy, kitchen-sink mess, but everything else was up to snuff.
Los Cucos Beef Fajitas Recipe
At spanking new Kingwood, I deplored the basic idea of the deep-fried, cheese-swaddled whole avocado stuffed with beef fajitas, but the dish was probably as good as such a misbegotten concept ever can be. I adored the simple tortilla soup that came with it, and an order of spinach-and-chicken quesadillas was as good as it gets. 2ff7e9595c
